Description
This project aims to identify brain-based markers, particularly dysfunction in salience emotional and cognitive control networks during negative emotion processing, which may predict future depression trajectories in youth at risk. The study will employ multimodal, longitudinal assessments including fMRI, ERPs, and behavioral tasks, recruiting 250 youth aged 9-14, with and without maternal history of recurrent MDD. The findings are expected to contribute to targeted prevention and intervention strategies for youth at risk of MDD.
