The project aims to investigate race-specific stressors and their biological impact on cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease risk in older Black adults, addressing disparities in dementia burden.

Description

This study will measure individual- and environmental-level race-specific stressors and identify the biologic mechanisms linking them to late-life cognitive decline and risk of Alzheimer’s dementia in older Black adults. These data are critical to reduce disparities and the burden of dementia and cognitive decline in a rapidly growing and understudied population.
