Description
This project aims to develop a new biomaterial that mimics the tissue environment of younger hearts to prevent heart failure progression. The approach involves creating injectable, elastic silk-cECM composite hydrogels containing fetal heart-derived cECM to mechanically stabilize the infarcted ventricular wall and promote favorable remodeling, leading to improved repair and reduced diastolic dysfunction.
