Description
This project aims to explore the potential of manipulating metabolic reprogramming as an innovative approach to targeting thromboinflammation in venous thrombosis and accelerating thrombus resolution. The research focuses on defining the regulatory role of PKM2 in acute deep vein thrombosis progression and determining whether targeting PKM2 at later stages will limit local inflammation, accelerate venous thrombosis resolution, and prevent postthrombotic syndrome. The study uses femoral vein thrombosis models in mice and rats with collaborative expertise to increase feasibility and success.
