Award for deploying the Anton 3 supercomputer at Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center to advance biomolecular research with enhanced simulation capabilities and data sharing.
Description
This project involves the deployment of the Anton 3 supercomputer at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, in partnership with D. E. Shaw Research. The supercomputer will enable researchers to simulate larger and more complex biomolecular systems at speeds hundreds of times faster than current resources, facilitating advanced biomedical research and data sharing. The project aims to provide access to the Anton 3 system as an NSF ACCESS resource, with outreach and training programs to maximize its impact. Data generated from long-timescale molecular dynamics trajectories will be made available through a web portal for research and educational purposes.
