This award funds a project to evaluate and develop smartphone-based interventions to improve emotion regulation and reduce interpersonal conflict in families of adolescents with ADHD, focusing on the RELAX intervention and ecological momentary intervention procedures.
Description
The project focuses on evaluating the RELAX (Regulating Emotions Like An eXpert) intervention for families of adolescents with ADHD, aiming to develop ecological momentary intervention (EMI) procedures via smartphone apps to support skill rehearsal in real life. The research builds on previous clinical experience and aims to position the investigator for independent clinical trials research. The study will assess the acceptability, feasibility, and efficacy of RELAX delivered by community clinicians, and develop EMI procedures for use during and after RELAX.
