Development of a non-invasive ICP monitoring system using carotid artery blood pressure waveform analysis to improve neurological patient care.

Description

This project aims to develop a non-invasive sensing system to monitor intracranial pressure (ICP) by correlating carotid artery blood pressure waveforms with ICP waveforms. The project involves developing conformal sensors capable of measuring carotid blood pressure with minimal pressure and creating a parameter estimation model using data from Neuro-ICU patients. The goal is to provide insights into patient neurologic status to aid medical decision-making and enable broader ICP surveillance.
