Description
The UW/Fred Hutch CFAR Administrative Core leads the CFAR and is responsible for strategic planning and operational management. The aims of the Administrative Core are to create and support a strategic vision centered on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), fostering a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment to facilitate the best science and growth of the next generation of diverse HIV researchers, impacting the global HIV epidemic. It delivers efficient, effective, timely, compliant, and collegial operational management to add value to the HIV research enterprise. Objectives include supporting cores and partners, refining strategic plans, fostering collaboration, community engagement, promoting EDI, managing grants and finances, growing funding and resources, and promoting utilization of CFAR services. The Core collaborates with institutional leaders, community organizations, and other CFARs to achieve these goals. Key innovations include new leadership structures, implementation of an EDI plan, community engagement strategies, and institutional commitments.
