Award to Brown University by the National Institute of Mental Health to develop genetically encoded voltage sensors and a high-speed fluorescence lifetime imaging system for multiplexed in vivo brain activity imaging.

### Description

This project aims to develop and validate new biosensors for quantitative and multiplexed imaging of electrical activity in the brain. By combining these sensors with a novel high-speed two-photon fluorescence lifetime microscopy system, we will enable precise measurements of electrical activity across multiple cell types in behaving animals, advancing understanding of brain computations and their disruption in neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders.
