Description
DSHS will be sponsoring the Texas Public Health Association's Annual Education conference to be held May 19-21, 2026. The funds provided will be used to cover the cost of administration fees, continuing education services, conference products and supplies, education materials, website setup and maintenance, and reduced registration for local health authorities. DSHS has a statutory requirement to hold training for health authorities, directors of local health departments, and public health districts as set forth in Health and Safety Code Section 121.008. By supporting the training series, which targets health authorities, directors of local health departments and public health districts, DSHS will fulfill this requirement.
