Award to Washington University for the Scientific Core of the MOCARB initiative, focusing on multi-omics approaches to study antibiotic-resistant bacteria through genomics, metabolomics, and single-cell techniques.
Description
The Scientific Core (Core B) serves as the analytical backbone of the Multi-Omics Unit for Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (MOCARB) initiative by leveraging multi-omics infrastructure to provide comprehensive, high-resolution datasets including bacterial isolate genomic and transcriptomic data, stool and urine metagenomic and metatranscriptomic analyses, and LC-MS-based metabolomics. It aims to standardize workflows, profile metabolites, and refine sequencing approaches to accelerate therapeutic target discovery and study host-microbiome-pathobiont interactions in infectious diseases.
