Description
This project addresses the problem of emergency department (ED) visits return among mental health patients by leveraging explainable artificial intelligence (AI) and integrating mental health ED return risk factors into clinical decision support. The project aims to develop an AI-based decision support system, including natural language processing, machine learning models, and clinical decision support tools, to predict and reduce preventable ED returns among mental health patients. The project involves multisite validation, stakeholder engagement, and implementation evaluation.
