CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE & DELIVERY OF TYPE "D" HOT MIX ASPHALTIC CONCRETE (HMAC FOR SINGLE MACHINE REPAVING PROJECT 2018)

The City of McAllen sought electronic bids for the purchase and delivery of Type "D" Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete for a single machine repaving project in 2018. Bids were due by February 1, 2018, with a mandatory bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid. The city reserved rights to reject any or all bids and held a pre-bid conference on January 25, 2018.

Description

Electronic Bids will be received on February 1, 2018 until 4:00 p.m., at which time they will be unlocked in a public meeting held in Conference Room 2A (2nd Floor), at McAllen City Hall and publicly read aloud. All Electronic Bids must be submitted via the City of McAllen’s bidding portal www.ebidexchange.com/mcallen on or before the specified date and time. Hard copy and late bids will not be accepted. Purchase & Delivery of Type "D" Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete (HMAC for Single Machine Repaving 2018). It is mandatory that a Bidder's Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas, or Certified Cashier's Check, payable without recourse to the City of McAllen, for the amount of not less than five (5) percent (%) of the total bid shall be submitted as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder shall comply with all specifications and delivery/installation dates. The City of McAllen reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all Bids and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the Bid considered the best and most advantageous to the City and hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days without taking action. A Pre-Bid Conference was held January 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Conference Room 2A, 2ND Floor of City Hall, City of McAllen. All prospective bidders were encouraged to be in attendance.
