This award supports research on how inflammatory signaling in lung fibroblasts contributes to immune system aging and related lung diseases, with the goal of identifying new treatments.

Description

Immune system dysfunction has been implicated in the pathogenesis of several age-related lung diseases. This project studies the role of NF-kB activation within senescent lung fibroblasts in driving lung Taa accumulation, aiming to understand mechanisms of immune system dysfunction related to aging and identify potential therapeutic targets for age-related lung diseases.
