Federal grant awarded to University of Nebraska Medical Center to establish a research center focused on alcohol exposome and its interaction with various factors affecting disease and alcohol pathophysiology.
Description
The goal of this proposal for a P50 Center is to expand existing strengths and expertise in Nebraska to develop a novel niche in alcohol research, by creating a Center focused on the Alcohol Exposome. The hypothesis is that under the comprehensive schema of the exposome, alcohol is an environmental exposure that should be considered in context with other internal and external factors to understand the etiology of disease and the manifestation of alcohol pathophysiology.
