Award to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute for developing spatial ecological models and computational tools to study tumor microenvironment in non-small cell lung cancer, supporting two NSCLC projects with a focus on tumor heterogeneity and therapeutic strategies.
Description
The Ecological Analysis Core will support the generation, investigation, and application of spatial ecological models and techniques to support two non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)-focused projects. It will manage, visualize, store, share, and analyze high-dimensional, high-resolution clinical and experimental histology images. The Core will develop computational approaches and frameworks to improve understanding and prediction of tumor behavior using images. It will develop and apply spatial ecological models alongside mathematical models from the Mathematical Modeling Core to understand tumor heterogeneity and guide new therapeutic strategies for lung cancer.
