Description

This project aims to establish and validate the CFTR-/- (CFTR-KO) rat model as a robust platform for evaluating respiratory phage therapy pharmacodynamics (PD), and host immune responses. The study addresses critical gaps in the field, enabling rigorous evaluation of phage therapy and protocol optimization. It involves using the P. aeruginosa phage cocktail KIM-C1 to investigate respiratory phage therapy and pharmacodynamics in a physiologically relevant model replicating key aspects of Cystic Fibrosis pathophysiology.
