Description
This project aims to elucidate the mechanisms by which B cells regulate lung inflammation in chronic tuberculosis (TB), focusing on the B cell/IL-10/Th1 axis. It will also characterize lesion-associated B cell aggregates in the lungs of humans with chronic TB. The study will leverage knock-out and transgenic mouse models, as well as human TB tissue repositories, utilizing advanced technologies such as multiplex immunofluorescence, gene expression profiling via RNAscope, single-cell RNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics.
