Description

The proposed research will define a novel small regulatory RNA pathway in Brucella that may be targeted for vaccine and/or therapeutic development. Brucella spp. cause debilitating human infections and are potential biological weapons. The project aims to develop new therapeutic and vaccine strategies against human Brucella infection by studying the MavR-MurF genetic pathway critical for Brucella virulence.
