Description
This project aims to investigate the phenotypic effects of lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) as an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. The study involves assembling a large consortium with validated Lp(a) measures and genotypic data, measuring Lp(a) in diverse cohorts, and conducting causal inference studies using polygenic risk scores. The project is funded by NIH/NHLBI and is scheduled from December 2025 to November 2028.
