Description
This project aims to define the cellular mediators and molecular specificity underlying heparan sulfate (HS)-dependent control of viremia in a murine model of Eastern equine encephalitis virus (EEEV) infection. The research focuses on identifying specific cellular populations responsible for clearing circulating virus and defining HS binding specificity of Sindbis/EEEV virions. The study will provide insights into tissue-specific HS moieties regulating arbovirus dissemination and inform potential therapeutic strategies targeting virus-host interactions.
