Description
This research project aims to define the molecular determinants of memory of inflammation in the pancreas using mouse models. It focuses on the role of AP-1 transcription factors, MAPK signaling, and the cytokine IL-33 in inflammatory memory in pancreatic acinar cells. The study seeks to understand the epigenetic memory of inflammation and its implications for tissue homeostasis and tumorigenesis, with the goal of identifying therapeutic targets to mitigate long-term consequences of inflammation in human disease.
