Description

This study, the HIV and Vascular Endothelial Function in Women of Reproductive Age (HEART), is a prospective cohort study aiming to examine vascular endothelial function, ovarian hormones, inflammatory response, and hypertension incidence over time in women with and without HIV. The study will enroll 400 participants from Atlanta and Miami, with visits at baseline, 1 year, and 2 years. It aims to evaluate longitudinal differences in vascular endothelial function by HIV status and determine relationships between ovarian hormones, inflammatory response, and vascular endothelial function.
