The University of Calgary intends to purchase a self-contained immersive PhenoSys JetBall virtual reality VR experimental system for mice to understand the neurobiological basis of complex behaviors. This system couples locomotor behavior directly to visual display, with features for controlling immersive VR visual stimulation linked to animal movements via a trackball. It includes specialized software for constructing and controlling behavioral experiments in the VR environment.
