Description
This project aims to understand methyl-driven lysosomal proteolysis as a widespread process for protein turnover and remodeling, identify novel protein substrates and motifs for lysosomal delivery, determine the functional impact of rapid methyl-driven delivery on cellular metabolic pathways, and develop tools for rapid protein depletion in living systems. The research will provide a publicly available database of methyl-degraded lysosomal proteins and innovative tools for lysosomal biology research.
