Description
This project aims to develop a multi-faceted therapeutic strategy to reduce ischemia reperfusion injury related damage to the endothelium of transplanted kidneys. The approach involves using polymeric nanoparticles to deliver siRNA directly to endothelial cells, targeting inflammation and capillary network damage. The project includes designing and characterizing nanoparticles, testing in 3D human vasculature models, and applying delivery within a hydrogel to the renal cortex in vivo.
