Description

This project aims to investigate the use of bacteriophage to treat Mycobacterium abscessus (Mabs) infection. Using a preclinical mouse lung infection model, the study will perform in vivo pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) studies of phage therapy. The research will evaluate different delivery routes (intravenous and intratracheal), liposome-encapsulated phage, and combination with antibiotics to optimize phage dosing strategies. The goal is to develop a quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) model to facilitate clinical translation of phage therapy for Mabs.
