Description
This project aims to increase clinical trial enrollment among Hispanic children by improving research literacy in their parents through a peer navigation intervention called COMPRENDO. The intervention involves trained peers (parents) providing culturally and linguistically appropriate education during informed consent. The study will be a multisite randomized clinical trial across four diverse sites, comparing COMPRENDO to usual care. Outcomes include child trial accrual and parent understanding, voluntariness, decisional regret, self-efficacy, and satisfaction. The project seeks to inform scalable strategies to enhance minority participation in cancer trials.
