Description

This project aims to identify shared genetic pathways that promote persistent neurotoxic states in individuals residing in northern Indiana through in vitro functional genomics. The study will utilize subject-specific human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs), zebrafish, and C. elegans models to understand gene-environment interactions leading to neurotoxicity. The research addresses the complex gene-environment interactions involved in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
