The award supports a project to develop a unified dataset and diagnostic algorithms to study and improve mental health outcomes in Veterans with mild traumatic brain injuries, focusing on co-morbid conditions and personalized treatment.
Description
This project focuses on creating a unified longitudinal dataset to examine associations between physiologic biosignals/functional measures and mental health outcomes/conditions, including symptoms and suicidal thoughts and behaviors, among Veterans with mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI). The effort involves integrating data from the Long-Term Impact of Military Brain Injury (LIMBIC) and Translational Research Center for TBI and Stress Disorders (TRACTS) protocols. The goal is to develop diagnostic and prognostic algorithms to improve brain health and psychosocial functioning.
