Award to ALBERT EINSTEIN COLLEGE OF MEDICINE to evaluate and improve SARS-CoV-2 testing and mitigation among criminal justice-involved individuals through community health workers in a corrections-focused community-based organization.
Description
The study aims to evaluate an onsite Point-of-Care SARS-CoV-2 testing and education strategy in a corrections-focused community-based organization, assessing its impact on testing uptake, mitigation behaviors, and cost-effectiveness among criminal justice-involved individuals recently released from incarceration. The intervention involves community health workers providing testing, education, and navigation services, with the hypothesis that it will improve testing and mitigation adherence.
