Description
This project investigates the role of the membrane-anchored serine protease, testisin, as a novel orchestrator of microvascular endothelial cell remodeling during angiogenesis resolution. The research aims to define mechanisms by which testisin deficiency impairs angiogenesis resolution and to evaluate the therapeutic potential of augmenting the testisin pathway. The goal is to develop targeted therapies to normalize vasculature and improve delivery of cancer therapeutics by understanding and manipulating angiogenesis resolution mechanisms.
