Description

The project explores the role of muscle calmodulin kinase II-related anchoring protein (αkap) on synaptic development and AChR stability at neuromuscular junctions. It aims to investigate the effects of αkap knockdown and gain of function in healthy and compromised NMJs, and to understand the molecular mechanisms involving the DGC sub-complex and USP9X in receptor stability. The outcomes are relevant for neuromuscular diseases with compromised receptor density.
