The purpose of the sole source is professional consulting services to support the planning, prioritization, coordination, and delivery of aquatic habitat restoration and floodplain-connectivity initiatives across Arkansas. Services include identifying and prioritizing streambank restoration, aquatic-barrier removal, riparian restoration, and floodplain-reconnection projects; coordinating the Arkansas Floodplain Restoration Working Group; reviewing watershed data and restoration plans; identifying barriers to landowner participation; developing statewide restoration priorities; and providing training and outreach related to stream restoration, floodplain connectivity, riparian management, and permitting.
