Asbestos Abatement Monitoring Services Contracted by Los Angeles Public Works

The Public Works Department of Los Angeles, California awarded a contract to Aurora Industrial Hygiene Inc. for asbestos abatement monitoring services. Is our understanding that the contractor will be removing asbestos containing roofing mastic. 1. Costs for up to 1 shift of asbestos abatement monitoring and project management, are included in this proposal. 2. Fiber counts will be collected during the removal. A visual inspection will be conducted upon completion of the work. 3. Upon completion of the field work and receipt of laboratory results, a clearance notice will be provided (Notice to Contractor Form). A report will be provided approximately 3 weeks later. The report will be reviewed and signed by a Certified Industrial Hygienist.
