Award for developing a system to enhance brain plasticity by targeted degradation of extracellular proteins, with applications in neurological disorders.

Description

The project aims to develop a genetically encoded system for Targeted Degradation of Extracellular Proteins (TDEP) to enhance brain plasticity by transiently increasing neuronal plasticity through degrading specific extracellular proteins that inhibit synaptic remodeling, using nanobodies coupled with degradation sequences. It will generate an atlas of extracellular proteins and their cellular sources to promote brain health and repair.
