Description
This project investigates mechanisms that govern EBV’s ability to switch into the lytic phase to improve oncolytic therapies. It focuses on core upstream mechanisms that disrupt silencing of the EBV gene BZLF1, involving cellular factors such as KAP1, TXNIP, p300, and MondoA, to increase susceptibility of EBV to lytic activation. The research aims to develop models to predict and enhance the effectiveness of oncolytic therapies, with potential benefits for children with endemic Burkitt lymphoma.
