This NIH-funded project investigates how NFKBIA deficiency affects neural progenitor cells, potentially leading to glioblastoma, by studying chromatin regulation mechanisms and their role in gliomagenesis.
Description
The proposed research aims to demonstrate that abnormalities in dynamic chromatin regulation during brain lineage specification promote gliomagenesis. It focuses on defining processes and identifying molecules involved in chromatin-regulated cell fate-switches that drive the trajectory from neural progenitor cells to glioblastoma, specifically the role of IκBα in chromatin regulation and its impact on glioma development.
