Description
Development of self-lubricating and self-healing calcium phosphate reinforced Ti- or CoCrMo-alloys to minimize bio-tribocorrosion in load-bearing implants such as total hip arthroplasty. The project aims to reduce metal ion release and improve implant longevity by forming an in situ tribofilm at the contact surface.
