Description
This project aims to understand the mechanisms of mucociliary transport (MCT) in small and large airways, particularly in cystic fibrosis (CF). Using a novel positron emission-based assay, the study will investigate metachronal motion, mucociliary clearance defects in CF small airways, and the potential for early intervention to prevent or delay CF airway disease.
