A research project funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute to use multi-omics data to identify subtypes and mechanisms of cardiometabolic diseases, aiming to improve personalized management and prevention.

Description

This project will use cutting-edge and innovative multi-omics approaches which examine many factors measured in blood to identify groups of individuals who are biologically similar and will determine whether the groups have different functional and/or pathophysiological risk mechanisms for disease or different response to treatments. These groups can be further studied to determine their risk mechanisms, and this will ultimately lead to new personalized ways of managing and preventing cardiometabolic diseases.
