Description
This NIH grant project aims to investigate how astrocytic activity influences neuronal circuits and blood pressure regulation in obesity-associated hypertension. The study will use chemogenetics to modulate astrocytic Ca2+ and cAMP levels and assess effects on renal sympathetic nerve activity, blood pressure, and heart rate, particularly in high-fat diet-induced obesity.
