Description
This project investigates how the anterior lateral motor cortex (ALM) contributes to the control and execution of sequenced behaviors, using the SAPAP3-knockout mouse model to study cortical and striatal interactions in normal and perseverative action patterns. The research aims to identify ALM ensembles responsible for grooming-associated activity, determine the effects of increased ALM-CS drive on behavior, and define ALM's role during learned sequences using optogenetics and imaging techniques.
