Description
This project focuses on detailed structure-function studies on the peroxisomal fatty acid transporters ABCD1, ABCD2, and ACBD3 to understand how they work at the molecular level to aid in future design and development of diagnostic and therapeutic tools to combat diseases stemming from their dysfunction. The research includes developing in vitro assays, obtaining high-resolution structural information via cryo-EM, and studying structural dynamics through CW-EPR.
