Description
The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) is purchasing professional-services from IGA, Inc. for the Georgia Grown Local Sourcing Initiative under the USDA Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure program. The engagement includes 8 workshops and/or webinars; approximately 400 hours of direct discovery and technical assistance with independent grocers and Georgia producers; market-linkage coordination; shopper surveys; validation of the existing Georgia Grown producer database; KPI tracking; monthly and final reports; and a Georgia Local Sourcing Playbook. The intended benefit is to reduce middle-of-the-supply-chain barriers, prepare producers to meet retailer and wholesaler requirements, expand market opportunities for Georgia-grown products, and establish an evidence-based foundation for future implementation.
