Description
The project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the electronic Surviving Cancer Competently Intervention Program (eSCCIP), an eHealth intervention designed to provide accessible, evidence-based psychosocial support to parents and caregivers of children with cancer (PCCC). The intervention combines self-guided online content with telehealth follow-up, targeting reductions in acute distress, posttraumatic stress, and anxiety, while enhancing coping self-efficacy and cognitive coping strategies. The study involves a multisite randomized controlled trial comparing eSCCIP/eSCCIP-SP (Spanish version) to an education control, with data collection at baseline, post-intervention, and three-month follow-up. The long-term goal is to facilitate dissemination and implementation of a scalable, high-reach, cost-effective intervention to support PCCC across the pediatric cancer trajectory.
