Description
This research project aims to study the structural regulation of megalin recycling in the kidney proximal tubule. The candidate will investigate the structures of megalin in different endosomal compartments, characterize pH-sensitive residues during trafficking, and determine the dependence of recycling on calcium ion coordination. The ultimate goal is to translate these findings into clinical interventions for proteinuric disease.
