A research project investigating the effects of positive airway pressure therapy on myocardial blood flow in adults with obstructive sleep apnea at high risk of cardiovascular disease, aiming to understand the link between sleep apnea and heart dysfunction and the benefits of therapy.

Description

This study will determine if low oxygen and abnormal heart rate changes measured during a sleep test are linked to coronary microvascular dysfunction. It will also determine how soon coronary microvascular dysfunction improves after starting OSA treatment with positive airway pressure therapy and whether this improves heart function.
