Description
This renewal of the successful “Transdisciplinary Training at the Intersection of Environmental Health and Social Science” aims to prepare 10 doctoral students and 8 postdoctoral researchers to become future leaders in social science-environmental health science collaborations. The program is co-directed by Northeastern University and Silent Spring Institute, a community-based participatory research non-profit organization. Trainees will participate in coursework, skills sessions, research projects at both institutions, and visits to laboratories and community groups. The program emphasizes community-based participatory research, civic science, exposure assessment, and policy engagement related to emerging contaminants.
