Award to Georgia State University to study barriers to data sharing in ADRD research and develop interventions to promote data sharing and policy adherence, supporting accelerated therapeutic discovery.

Description

This project aims to explore barriers to data sharing in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) research through surveys and in-depth interviews with ADRD investigators, analyze their perceptions and practices, and develop interventions to promote data sharing and adherence to policies, including the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy. The study will also compare investigators’ experiences with policies from journals, research centers, repositories, and consortia to recommend strategies that mitigate barriers and advance therapeutic research.
